The London Ministry Wives Conference began in 2006 by a group of FIEC pastors’ wives who were eager to reach out and offer support, encouragement and fellowship to women who serve the risen Lord Jesus Christ alongside their husbands. The team was delighted to welcome about 30 women from in and around London’s M25 to the first conference. By God’s grace, this annual conference has grown to include over 100 women who are married to men who minister in an evangelical setting, including those whose husbands are training for ministry. It has also grown geographically with women coming from further afield.
Past speakers have included Ann Benton, Kath Paterson, Clare Heath-Whyte and more recently Elinor Magowan, Natalie Brand and Debbie Hardyman. The speakers, who have faithfully shared from the Bible, have covered a variety of topics, some of which are : ‘Our Living Hope’, ‘Disciples That Last’, ‘Running On Empty?’, ‘Being In It Together’, ‘Enjoying God Forever’, ‘Contentment’, ‘Prone to Wander’, ‘Do not lose heart’, seeing how we are ‘Loved’.
